BOBO'S OAT BARSBRAND RELATIONSHIP
Bobo’s Oat Bars makes amazing gluten-free, non-GMO oat bars right in our backyard of Boulder, Colorado. But the brand encountered one small issue as it continued to grow: How can we educate our audience, and reach a new audience, to inform about our baking process? F4D was brought in to help Bobo’s tell the story of the humble home kitchen beginnings of the brand, all the way to now, where the company bakes nearly two million oat bars each year.

A common challenge we encounter when working with brands to tell their stories is where to start. With Bobo’s Oat Bars, this obstacle was overcome rather easily because Bobo’s has such a strong foundation. (We love this!) Rightly so, our initial foray into filming for the brand started in a home kitchen in Boulder, Colorado, which is precisely how the company started.
Bobo’s founder Beryl Stafford began making her delicious oat bars for her daughter back in 2003, and has since grown the brand to encompass a rather extensive line flavor line. F4D joined Bobo’s creative team to produce footage for commercials that highlights the brand’s obsession with healthy ingredients and homemade oat bars “baked with you in mind.”
Following this production, the F4D team filmed on location at Bobo’s Oat Bars bakery in Boulder. Working with the incredible staff in the kitchen, as well as the creatives behind Bobo’s thumb-stopping social media presence, F4D produced a video that explains how Bobo’s creates their bars from scratch.
Outside of telling the brand’s story, F4D was contracted to also photograph the executive team. This required two full days of photographer and welcomed a creative approach: Using a green screen to compliment the subject’s attire and make for a colorful, eccentric palette of corporate head shots.
