Guerilla GardenGetting his start painting the walls of an abandoned water refinery as a kid, the founder of Guerilla Garden, Jolt, has made a career for himself as a creative. Sporting the titles of graffiti writer, fine artist, muralist, and curator Jolt can always be found working on something new. Luckily, F4D Studio has been able to help capture Jolt’s story as well as the artwork he has created over the years. Through this partnership, the two have helped fuel the growing art scene in Denver, CO.

F4D Studio has partnered with Guerrilla Garden founder Jolt on multiple occasions to document his work as a graffiti artist, muralist, and creator.
“Jolt x Laradon Hall”
Our most recent film, “Jolt x Laradon Hall” is a documentary short that follows Jolt as he develops a set of murals for Laradon’s affordable housing complex in Globeville, CO. The murals not only connect Laradon Hall with the community, but are inspired by Jolt’s life growing up in Globeville. While the F4D team is always excited to work with Jolt on new projects, this film was special because it exemplified our core value of Compassion.
“Wall of Hope: A Source of Strength”
Another compassionate story that F4D collaborated with Jolt on was the award winning film, “Wall of Hope: A Source of Strength.” For this project, F4D Studio was hired to produce a documentary chronicling the community efforts to address the issue of mental health and teen suicide in Golden, CO. Using input from Golden High School students, Jolt created a mural on a 600 foot long retaining wall for the project.
“The Coldfax”
Infamously called “the longest and wickedest street in America”, Colfax Avenue is the main road that cuts east to west through Denver’s metropolitan area. If you ask a Denver native to describe the street, you’re likely to get a colorful array of responses. An influx of developers and transplants have initiated a face-lift of the thoroughfare. Before the original subcultures of this unique microenvironment could disappear, F4D Studio joined forces with Jolt to launch a mini docuseries to memorialize the street’s character.
“My Name is Jolt”
One of F4D Studio’s earliest works with Jolt, “My Name is Jolt” shows the relationship between a street artist and his name. Having tagged his name hundreds of times in hundreds of places, Jolt now embodies both the name and the work he has created.

Along with the previously mentioned videos F4D Studio made with Jolt, the team has worked with the artist in other works including Westword’s Artopia events, “Jolt Paints a Scion”, and the release of Jolt’s very own spray paint color.
