STORYTELLING
Nick is a passionate storyteller with a dynamic background in theatre, film, and documentary. His video work can be seen on SoulPancake, BuzzFeed, Refinery29, Yahoo! Studios, and PeopleTV. I perform frequently at The Moth.
After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2003, he moved to New York City, where he ran multiple original shows and performed weekly with house teams at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. In 2009, Nick wrote and produced an original web series, Old Friends, which went on to sell to CBS through 20th Century FOX and 21 Laps Entertainment.
In 2010, Nick moved to Los Angeles and has been actively engaged in writing, producing, and directing ever since. Now he is in Denver, CO, where he uses film to harness the connective power of vulnerability.
MUSICAL GUEST
Patrick Dethlefs’ songwriting crests like a humble Townes Van Zandt, innocent of his own haunting melodies and lyricism. Dethlefs’ music offers folk Americana with effortless sincerity at a time when many acts strive purposefully to revive the stripped-down feel of a musical history long past.
“Dethlefs finds poetry in the memories and that slight pain in the laugh lines.” – Daytrotter
