“1 for the Hood”

The song is off Cavem’s latest album BIOMIMICS, which was released as an album/seedpack combo. Each album sold was accompanied by a pack of DJ Cavem branded seeds in the hopes to move people to action.

To create the music video for “1 for the Hood,” the F4D team joined DJ Cavem, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, and the Earth Guardians as they marched at the national strike for the climate crisis in downtown Denver, CO. Sporting a megaphone and clothing from hemp-based apparel company, Recreator, Cavem’s words aim to move people to action. His message is further amplified by the gripping imagery that the F4D team was able to capture during the shoot and implemented into the finished piece.

“Hybrid Lex”

Hybrid Lex was the first project that F4D Studio ever worked on with DJ Cavem. The video, which was shot in a single day, encourages people to use their trusty bicycle to get around instead of their car which pollutes the air we breathe. This video kicked off our team’s longterm partnership with DJ Cavem and some shots from this video were even sent out to be used in an Earth doc that was being created at the same time. 

“Cool 2 Live”

In the video “Cool 2 Live,” the F4D team tells a visual story of making the right decisions through life. The video follows DJ Cavem’s stepson through parts of Denver’s Five Points where Cavem himself had to make decisions about his life and the man he wanted to become. The song featuring Cody ChesnuTT & Bianca Mikahn aims to help others understand what it means to live a truly “cool” life.

“Sun Warrior”

F4D Studio helped create “Sun Warrior” with Cavem for Sunwarrior protein powder. The project took owners Gabe and Travis to LA where they could shoot in warm weather and sunshine. Both having lived in LA previously the duo knew some incredible places to capture both DJ Cavem and various Sunwarrior ambassadors such as Ron Findley.

“Fridge on Fleek”

Composed by DJ Cavem with vocals from the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, “Fridge on Fleek” promotes the positive effects of a healthy life. Our team had an incredible time working with both Cavem and the kids to create a this fun and informative music video.

“Sprout That Life”

Sprout That Life was the first single released off of DJ Cavem’s Biomimics album. The video takes place within a greenhouse where Cavem raps through the leaves about organic gardening and living a healthy lifestyle. The bold visuals match the strong lyrics almost forcing you into healthier eating habits.

“Pull Up On the Gate”

Pull Up on the Gate is a hard-hitting ode to Cavem’s past life as a landscaper in some of the wealthier neighborhoods around Denver.

This is one of our team’s favorite DJ Cavem music videos to date, because not only was the concept for the shoot quite creative, but we were able to use the shoot as a way to push ourselves outside our comfort zones and to grow as creators!

Since we have such a strong and trusting relationship with DJ Cavem we were able to let our team test out new roles during the shoot. Someone who usually captures behind-the-scenes footage found themselves on the main camera, and our main camera found themselves directing. By testing out these new roles and working in someone else’s shoes, our team can become more experienced and work more fluidly together on future shoots.

Along with the various music videos F4D Studio has created for DJ Cavem, our team has also filmed multiple events, done photoshoots, and helped support him through PR and marketing. Our team is always happy to help create and support DJ Cavem as his message aligns with many of our values. Through our work with DJ Cavem, we have been able to create films around compassion for the world, innovate through new technology opportunities, and adventure around our city and the US. We can’t wait to see where else this partnership takes us!
